I enjoy my car very much, and it is driven to what ever shows we attend. It made the trip from home to Burlington in '99 and to Syracuse N.Y. in 2000. Our home is in Aylmer Que., however we live less than 5 miles from Ottawa.
The car originally came from Western Canada and was purchased in Sault Saint Marie, Ont. It was very rust free. I guess because it was a western car, other than that I know little about it's history. All work was done by my wife and I except for body work, painting and the actual rebuilding of the engine, although we did install the engine.
My car does very well at various car shows, including third place for 1956 Victorias at the 1999 CVA convention in Burlington, Ontario.
When I started www.56meteor.com in the Fall of '99 the only picture of a '56 Meteor I could find, other than my own, was of Boyd's Victoria and I used that picture to head the 1956 page. That photo is of the car before Boyd & Rose so lovingly restored it. If you ever want to sell your car Boyd, I'm sure we can find a buyer in a very short time.
